It has been an amazing spring. For the most part we’ve had mild weather that has been great for gardening (although a little rain would be nice). To thank Kingwood and the rest of Northeast Houston for supporting Kingwood Garden Center we are having an unprecedented sale. I don’t think we have ever done something like this before.
We are having a STORE WIDE – 30% OFF EVERYTHING SALE!!!!!!
So, hurry in and pick up the best quality plants, trees, shubs, color, soil amendments, birding supplies, pottery, gifts….everything! This is still great planting weather and you can take advantage of this opportunity to get your outdoor living areas spruced up for summer barbecues and swim parties.

Gardening Advice
An easy way to fill your pots is to use the Thriller, filler, & spiller rule.
The thriller is the tallest and most vibrant plant. It is the eye catcher of the pot and should have the most vibrant color and blooms.
The filler should fill up the extra space in the pot and should be shorter than the thriller.
The spiller should a plant that cascades or trails to drape over the side of the pot.

During our hot, humid and low-rain summer season we need to be mindful of our feathery friends. During our current drought birds will be searching for adequate food and water
We have expanded our birding supplies over the last several months and we offer a diverse selection of bird food and feeders. Birders can bag their own blends or choose from our pre-mixed selections.
Providing water to birds is essential this season. Bird baths are an excellent addition to any garden and the birds will love you! We have a great selection of colors and sizes.

A long time friend and previous owner of Kingwood Garden Center has passed away. Bernard Johnson died on Saturday, April 30th after a valiant attempt to recover from a stroke. Bernard loved Kingwood and he and his wife Louise were personally responsible for making sure that the Kingwood Garden Center was part of the community.
